News July 2010 At long last I have now added some new transport images from my day at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. A spendid day out with plenty to see and do. A recommended day out for any car enthusiast or motorsport photographer. One word of warning though, it gets very dusty and dirty in the warm weather so either take plenty of camera protection or use a lens suitable to all of your needs so you don't have to keep changing them! Because you can get so close to the track anything up to 300mm will be enough for the distance shots. In the paddocks you can get as close as you like so 18mm should again be enough. You get to see plenty of stars and the cars I would also recommened a weekend of it to avoid the massive traffic jams on the way home...! I took on my first corporate event, which by all accounts was a huge success. It was a very long day but the results of the day far exceeded both my expectations and that of the company for whom I was carrying out the assignment for. By all accounts the day was fun with all the participants eager to see their faces on the big screen by the end of the night, which is always a winning combination in my opinion. I look forward to potentially working with this company again in the future. June 2010 My thanks to Chris Weston Photography Workshops Ltd for a superb day out to Kent to photograph the big cats. The weather was perfect and I think only now has my camera cooled down from the many hundreds of images I took on the day. I was especially pleased with the portrait shots of the lions, the tigers and the leopards. Many thanks to Peter Watmough who ran the day and of course the volunteers with the animals. I very much enjoyed my day and will be booking up for more workshops in the near future. May 2010 I am trying out a few new projects this year including HDR photography. Following an excellent book by Trey Ratcliff, I have been trying out a few of his techniques plus a few of my own. I am also trying out a new technique to me called "photo stacking". Look out for examples of these techniques in the coming months. March 2010 Having spent a day up at the Focus on Imaging exhibition in Birmingham, the photographic year for me has well and truly started. My thanks to both models who allowed me to photograph them (amongst the many other photographers there for the duration...!). January 2010 Having had a quiet year in 2009, I have made a New Year's resolution to ensure more images are uploaded onto the website from all areas of my photography.
On a separate note I have ceased all wedding photography. If you have been forwarded to this website for this purpose I can only apologise.
